Windsor, Eton and Hampton Court Tours

Windsor

Visit Windsor Castle, a royal stronghold built above the River Thames on the site of an Anglo-Saxon fort. The castle, one of England's largest and most historic Royal residences, is still lived in by the Queen.

Windsor Castle

See the magnificent State Apartments, containing many great works of art; St. George's Chapel - the burial place of Kings and Queens and the irresistible Queen Mary's Dolls House exquisitely perfect to the tiniest detail. The town itself is a great place to shop and have lunch or tea.

All in all Windsor is one of Englands top attractions - miss it on your stay and you'll be sorry!

Eton

Close by is Eton - home of one of England's most famous public schools, where boys are still dressed in traditional black tail coats. See the Kennedy Memorial at Runnymede where King John signed the Magna Carta in 1215.

Hampton Court

Hampton Court Palace

This tour will also take you to the great palace of Hampton Court, set beside a beautiful stretch of the River Thames. The palace, built in 15i4, was once lived in by the notorious King Henry VIII (the ghost of one of his executed wives, Catherine Howard, is said to haunt the corridors!).

In the courtyard you can see the world famous Astronomical Clock built in 1540 for the king. There are so many things to see at Hampton Court including; the Gardens - as good as any in Europe; the famous Grape Vine, the unusual Maze (we might have to send you a sandwich, if you don't come out in time for lunch!) and Henry VIII's Tennis Court.
